Leominster Public Schools is seeking a candidate for the position of Virtual High School Principal for the 2024-2025 School Year.  This is a 0.3 position.

Responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing the operations of a fully online educational program.  The primary objective will be to ensure the successful functioning of a virtual school, fostering a positive learning environment for students and facilitating the professional growth of teachers and staff.

Reports to the Superintendent of Schools

Responsibilities:  

• Establish and communicate academic goals and procedures

• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive school culture promoting student engagement and success

• Collaborate with teachers to ensure the delivery of a rigorous and engaging virtual curriculum

• Implement assessment strategies to measure student progress and use data to inform instructional decisions.

• Support teachers in utilizing technology effectively for instructional purposes

• Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified and experienced virtual educators.

• Provide professional development opportunities for teachers to enhance their online teaching skills and subject matter expertise.

• Conduct regular evaluations and performance assessments to provide constructive feedback and support growth.

• Oversee student enrollment and admissions processes, ensuring appropriate placements and support for individual student needs.

• Establish and maintain systems for monitoring student progress, attendance, and behavior in the virtual learning environment.

• Implement strategies to foster student engagement and active participation in the online classroom.

• Collaborate with counselors and support staff to address students' social-emotional needs and academic challenges

Qualifications:  Current MA License  Principal/Assistant Principal High School Level; Proven experience in educational leadership; Strong understanding of Virtual educational platforms, digital tools and virtual teaching methodologies.
