Responsibilities:

• Meets regularly with department members to conduct department activities such as common planning, curriculum review, budget preparation, data analysis, and collaboration. 

• Attends monthly Department Chair Meetings with the principal.

• Shares feedback on curriculum, instructional, assessment, and student support practices with department members through collaborative professional development activities.  

• Maintains an inventory of department resources.

• Submits the department budget to the principal with:

• Annually reviews with the department and updates the Program of Studies.

• Recommends course assignments to the principal.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience

• Masters degree preferred

• Hold current DESE licensure

• Record of student success

• This is a 190-day position including awards ceremonies and graduation (prorated for the school year)

• Stipend based on 10% of base salary (article XXVII of the Teacher/LEA Contract)
