Program Facilitator
This one-year position will provide support to students with disabilities enrolled in the Substantially Separate programs and their classroom staff. The support services that the position will provide will be determined by the needs of the students and the specifications developed collaboratively by the Principals and Special Education Department Administrative staff.
Reports to: Principals/Administrator of Behavior & Therapeutic Programming/Administrator of Special Education & Related Services
Responsibilities

Provide specific support services, appropriate for the students enrolled in this program

Provide support services to individual students, small groups, and class groups, as defined in IEPs
-
Ensure that students are assisted using effective behavioral support strategies

Model social interactions between students
-
Intervene effectively in periods of behavioral dysregulation

Provide support services and training to the staff of this program in order to ensure implementation of student plans
-
Utilize positive behavior interventions, behavior analytic principles, and strong relationships to support students in all daily activities.

Assist with the collection and analysis of daily behavioral data and collaborate in the implementation of behavior support plans.

Collaborate in planning and service delivery with Principals, Administrator of Behavior & Therapeutic Programming, program teachers, and other school staff and administrators

Work with classroom teams to create a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment

Liaison with other schools, district, and community-based providers

Provide consultation and professional development to colleagues

Lead/co-teach lessons when needed

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications - Required
-
Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and/or Severe Disabilities License from the State of Massachusetts.

Experience delivering these support services to students with disabilities.

Experience providing support and training to staff
Qualifications - Preferred

Master’s Degree in special education or an appropriately related field.

Experience in the public school special education setting

Ability to lead and manage in crisis situations

Must be flexible and able to respond to behavioral challenges quickly and safely.
