Job Summary A local educational institution, Center for Technical Education innovation, located in Leominster is seeking a qualified Medical Assisting Vocational Teacher to deliver comprehensive instruction to high school students. The successful candidate will engage students in theoretical and practical skills related to healthcare careers, while also developing the curriculum and supervising hands-on training. Responsibilities

• Instructional Delivery: Teach medical assisting, including curriculum development and hands-on training.
• Lab Supervision: Supervise students in laboratory settings, ensuring safety and mastery of clinical skills.
• Student Mentorship: Provide academic and career guidance, including teaching job-search strategies.
• Student Engagement: Use strong communication skills to guide students toward successful careers in healthcare.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Experience & Education

• Work Experience: Four years of full-time experience in medical assisting.
• Education: Associate’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Certification: Current national certification as a medical assistant or medical assistant/secretary.
• Licensure: Ability to obtain a Massachusetts Vocational Tech Teaching License through required exams and the MTEL literacy score.
