Leominster Public Schools is seeking a special education teacher for a substantially separate ABA-Based elementary classroom, for students with autism.  The candidate should be familiar with the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), comfortable implementing and collaborating on behavior intervention plans, skilled at discrete trial teaching, incidental teaching, and small group instruction, able to manage the schedules of both students and paraprofessionals, willing to model teaching procedures and provide professional coaching to paraprofessionals, and demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and dedication to students with special needs. 

 

The lead teacher will work collaboratively with other service providers and staff including OT, Speech, Physical Therapy, BCBA, and Special Education Coordinator.

 

 This position also requires the candidate to understand the IEP process, write measurable IEP objectives, and to collect data and report on those objectives. Candidate should possess a severe special needs license.
